Asalamualaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu!
I pray this greeting finds you in the best of health and spirits! As we embark on another year full of promise, hope and new beginnings it’s human nature to reflect on the lessons we have learned and the strides we have made during the past year. In doing so myself, it brings me great joy to announce that I will be introducing a new feature on my Teacher Tamara blog called “Shining In the Spotlight” or SIS for short.
With Allah’s leave and His guarantee of success, inshaAllah SIS will be a monthly series focusing on sisters in our global community who are living their lives with purpose and dedication to their causes.
In the course of reviewing the year, there are several sisters that I considered spotlighting. Now I am looking to add more! As mothers, wives, caretakers and overall givers in the community we often fail to see the impact we have had on the lives of others or the lives we could impact if our own stories were shared. Without a doubt, I’m sure the work that these sisters are doing in the community will be a source of inspiration to our global network of sisters.
Any sisters that you know of who have done an excellent job of using their God given talents to live their lives successfully with focus on Allah s.w.t. would be given her moment to Shine In the Spotlight! Let’s support each other in living life to the fullest. One sister’s light may lead someone else out of the darkness!
InshaAllah, each featured SIS sister will have her interview posted as the first page for a month on the SIS page in addition to being able to use the interview as a tool to highlight any causes, organizations, ventures or activities that she is currently involved in.
